E-cigarettes, also known as electronic cigarettes, are battery-powered devices that heat a liquid solution to create an aerosol that can be inhaled. This liquid, commonly referred to as e-liquid or vape juice, typically contains nicotine, flavorings, and other chemicals. Unlike traditional cigarettes, e-cigarettes do not burn tobacco, therefore they do not produce tar or many of the harmful by-products associated with combustion. They come in various shapes and sizes, ranging from pen-like models to larger devices known as mods.
